Difference between PLC and SCADA

PLC stands for the Programmable logic controller. It is an industrial computer system which monitors the state of devices and takes a decision based on this input. It then provides output to the devices connected at its output periphery. SCADA, on the other hand, stands for supervisory control and data acquisition system which uses computers and data communication networks to monitor the status of power systems, it then provides the output via the GUI system.
