MOSFET vs BJT | Basic Electronics

BJT and MOSFET are two types of transistors.

BJT stands for bipolar junction transistor whereas MOSFET stands for Metal Oxide semiconductor field effect transistor. The BJT has three parts Emitter, Collector and a Base. Whereas the MOSFET has a gate, source and a Drain. Practically BJTs are used for low current applications whereas MOSFET is used for high current applications.
